You may remember the story of Yang Hua over the years. He is one of the pastors at Huoshi Church, one of the most heavily persecuted churches in China.
He suffered several instances of horrific torture by the government officials trying to get a confession out of him. Charged with trumped up charges of “divulging state secrets,” he served two-and-a-half years in prison before being released on June 20, 2018.
The officials even threatened his wife and two sons, and told him that they could kill him and make him disappear. Now, he is stalked by officials wherever he goes, making it difficult for him to live as a free man.
Because of the persistent persecution and threats against his family, Hua’s seventeen-year-old son, Enoch, has arrived in the United States just a few weeks ago as a refugee! Praise God!
ChinaAid uses your prayers and financial gifts to bring brave brothers and sisters in Christ out of trouble when China is no longer safe for them.
Sadly, Enoch’s story is only too common. The Chinese government has a long track record of targeting dissident’s innocent family members.
Can you imagine the relief Yang Hua must have as a father to know that his son is now safe in America?
The adventure is not over for Enoch though. Not only will he be in a new country, speaking his second language, but he will be battling home-sickness away from his family as he adjusts to American culture.
Upon his arrival in America and driving to his new home, I am told Enoch couldn’t help but say, “It is a miracle that I am here.” Such bravery from someone so young!
Will you stand with our brother in his time of need?
Please prayerfully consider giving a gift of $300, $200, or $100 to provide support for Enoch and other family members of the persecuted in the future. Your gift can provide refuge and peace of mind to help protect the persecuted faithful in China!
