China Aid announces upcoming training for house church leaders

For the persecuted Christians of China, one of the greatest needs among house churches is training. The heavy pressure from authorities means that the underground church meets in secret, and many of the leaders of these groups have no formal training.

This November, pastors across mainland China will have the opportunity to change that.

The conference, which will be held in Hong Kong from November 1-4, will focus on a wide range of topics of greatest importance to the members of the persecuted church, such as public theology, principles of education, government, media interactions, family issues, and economic concerns.

Previously, China Aid hosted the “Three-Fold Visions” Training Conference in March 2015, a similar event during which more than 2,000 Christians from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and mainland China gathered for four days of fellowship, teaching and spiritual growth.

Equipping leaders of the church to face challenges presently and in the future is a critical role of this conference. In previous years, pastors across China have used any means necessary to attend, some travelling on foot for days or hitchhiking cross-country in order to be there. With the help of outside support, some of these travelling concerns and costs can be eased.

China Aid is pleased to announce partnership in this conference, and hopes to sponsor the attendence of at least 400 pastors through donor-driven scholarships. Please consider a gift to help one of these pastors have a chance to join with others for this event.
